The London Artists’ Studio Tour has been a London tradition for over 20 years. Each year, we present a wide variety of original works by both new and established local artists.
The 2017 tour – our biggest ever – includes 37 individual artists. It is so big that our traditional brochure could no longer accommodate our needs, so we made the jump to this beautiful 32-page keepsake booklet.
The London Artists’ Studio Tour is a juried event. Participants are professional working artists with exhibition experience living and working in the city of London. This means that you will see the best of the best.
From assemblage to zoomorphic forms and everything in between, we have it. All media are acceptable, and this year’s tour goers will see excellent examples of drawing, illustration, painting, photography, sculpture and textiles.
The tour is as much about the process of creating art as it is about the art works themselves. Browsers are welcome. Artists are present in their studio for the duration of the tour and are happy to explain their craft and answer any questions.
We strive to keep it fresh and exciting. Eleven of this year’s artists are new to the tour. We also embrace the element of surprise: watch for pop-up demonstrations and special guest artists.
This is a self-guided tour and is free of charge. Friday, April 21 is opening night. Come early for refreshments and first choice of work. You will leave inspired and raring to go to the next two days of the tour.
